At the age of 16 I had an accident at a fairground. I damaged my neck and shoulders which went on to leave me in pain the majority of time. After specialists and physio for years, I was told while only in my 20's, that I would have this condition for the rest of my life. One specialist told me the only relief I could get would be to have my verterbrate fused at the point of pain. He also informed me that I would be in a wheelchair by the time I was 40 from the degeneration of my spine. Things didn't look too hopeful. I was considering having the operation, when a lady that I worked with went in to hospital for the same procedure. This proved to be good for me but not her. She came out with loss of feeling in her face and worse pain then when she went in, she had to give up work. What was once a beautiful vibrant woman who socialised lots, became a sad, depressed lady that stayed at home.
I decided not to have the operation and enjoy my life the best I could, living on pain killers. This was my life for 23 years. During this time I visited counsellors for depression at various times. I was prescribed with anti-depressants and told I was clinically depressed while I was studying as a mature student at University. I just thought that was quite normal, considering I was a solo mother studying full time and trying to manage a home.
In 1996 during my final year of studying at University for an accounting degree, Spirit stepped in and showed me in no uncertain terms that this was not to be my path.
I still completed my degree and then proceeded to spend 6 months meditating, reading and learning about spirituality. My journey then lead me to Golden Bay, New Zealand, which is a special place, where I furthered my spiritual and emotional path. Through this process I was to find that my pain reflected my emotions. With a counsellor, a neurolink practitioner and my learning Reiki I became pain free. This was such a revelation to me. I realised with the help of Louise Hay that emotions affect the physical body, Therefore it is essential for our health that we work on our selves to be able to live in harmony and pain free.
First I learnt Reiki which I feel is an ideal starting modality when getting in touch with energy based healing. It took me a year to become a Reiki Master teacher after mastering the technique with clients and spending many hours with my Master. After this I became an Advanced Practitioner of the EMF Balancing technique. With a group of like minded women we opened a healing centre. There I did treatments and taught Reiki.
I have now been drawn to Australia. I have a room at 2a 179 Nicklin Way, Sunshine Coast. I look forward to meeting and guiding people in finding a balance in their lives and moving into their futures with ease, creating the lives they choose to live.
I encourage people to take care of themselves as a priority, get that tune up when required. You would do that for your car why not do it for YOURSELF.
